Quick answer

The CNY price on a directory card is a catalog reference, and its USD figure is only approximate. For a delivered-cost estimate, add the selected item’s current price, any seller-to-warehouse delivery and checkout fees, the international parcel quote, optional services you choose, and destination charges that are not already included. Mark a missing quote as unknown rather than zero, and confirm who collects each charge before paying.

Is the spreadsheet price the total delivered price?

No. A product card may show one CNY price, a CNY range, or “View price” when the catalog has no amount. Some cards also show an approximate USD equivalent. These fields do not include a live checkout quote, parcel weight, international shipping or destination tax. A range’s lowest figure may not be the price of the size or color you choose.

Open the exact linked listing and record the price, quantity, selected option and currency shown at the checkout you would actually use. Recheck them before payment; a card captured earlier cannot establish current stock or a current offer. If your payment currency differs, use the checkout’s actual conversion and any payment charge it displays, rather than treating the card’s rounded USD estimate as a guaranteed rate.

What to check

  • Selected variant and quantity
  • Current item price and checkout currency
  • Any payment or conversion charge shown for your method

Add each cost once in a delivered-cost worksheet

Write down separate rows for the selected goods, any seller-to-warehouse delivery, checkout or service charges, international parcel shipping, optional packaging or coverage, and destination duty, VAT or other tax and carrier clearance fees if applicable. The total you may pay is the sum of the charges that apply to your actual order. Put “unknown” beside a cost that has not been quoted; zero means the service has confirmed there is no charge.

Keep product-level and parcel-level costs distinct. Two items in one parcel may share one international shipping charge, while each listing can have its own item price or local delivery charge. You can divide a parcel quote between items to compare them, but that allocation is your budgeting method, not a carrier’s per-item rate. If a checkout includes shipping or prepaid import charges in a displayed total, do not add the same amount again.

What to check

  • Goods and any local delivery
  • Checkout, payment and optional service charges
  • Packed-parcel international shipping
  • Unpaid destination tax, duty or carrier charges

Why can an international shipping quote change after packing?

A product listing is not a packed-parcel measurement. The box, protective material and consolidation choice can change both weight and dimensions. Some carriers use the greater of actual and dimensional weight when pricing a shipment; DHL eCommerce documents this for its own services. Do not apply one carrier’s divisor or a forum estimate to a different route.

Ask for a quote using the parcel’s expected packed weight and dimensions, destination, route and included services. Then check whether a fuel, remote-area, special-handling or other surcharge appears in the route’s current terms or quote. An early estimate can change after the parcel is packed and measured, so keep the final parcel quote separate from the initial product price.

What to check

  • Packed weight and dimensions, if available
  • Named route and destination
  • What the quote includes and when it can be revised

Can a low-price US order still have import charges?

Yes. Do not assume an order below the former US $800 de minimis figure is automatically duty-free. U.S. Customs and Border Protection says that duty-free treatment was suspended for most low-value imports from 29 August 2025, including international mail. What applies to your shipment depends on the goods, origin, entry method and current rules; this directory cannot calculate it from a product title.

CBP describes duty, taxes and entry-related fees as separate possible charges. Ask the service handling the order whether its quote includes any of them and who will collect amounts that remain due. Recheck CBP guidance close to purchase because import rules and rates can change.

When might UK VAT or duty be paid?

GOV.UK explains that VAT on goods sent from abroad may be paid at purchase or to the delivery company before the parcel is received. Where VAT is collected by the delivery company, the taxable package value can include the goods, postage, packaging, insurance and duty. Customs Duty depends on the goods and circumstances; Great Britain and Northern Ireland also have different rules.

Check the destination and the current GOV.UK rules for your item rather than adding a flat percentage to the card price. Ask the checkout whether VAT was already collected and whether the carrier may request duty or a delivery charge later. Keep the checkout breakdown so you can see what has already been paid.

Are EU parcels under €150 duty-free in 2026?

Do not rely on older advice that every low-value EU parcel is exempt from customs duty. The European Commission says a temporary customs duty began on 1 July 2026 for eligible e-commerce consignments valued up to €150 from outside the EU. Its guidance defines the duty by tariff-classified item, not by simply counting physical products or parcels. The declarant, usually a seller or importer, is normally responsible for paying it; that does not tell you how a particular checkout will price the order.

VAT and any delivery or clearance charge are separate questions. Confirm the destination Member State, the selected route, what tax the checkout has already collected and what the carrier may still request. Use the Commission’s current guidance and the destination country’s authority instead of multiplying a headline fee by your item count.

Confirm the payable total and any later charges

Before paying, compare the item checkout total with the parcel quote and write down which party collects each charge. Ask specifically whether “shipping included” covers only transport or also any import duty, VAT, tax or carrier clearance fee. A coverage or “tax included” label should be checked against the written terms for the exact route; it does not by itself prove every destination charge is covered.

Save the selected listing, fee breakdown, currency, shipping quote and any written answer about import charges. If a material amount remains unknown, keep it as a budget uncertainty instead of presenting a precise delivered total. This makes two products or shipping routes comparable on the same basis without promising what customs or a carrier will finally collect.

Common questions

Questions about costs & shipping

Does the approximate USD price include iTaoBuy Spreadsheet shipping?

No. It is an approximate conversion of a catalog reference price, not a quote for the selected item, packed parcel, checkout fees or destination charges.

Why did my international shipping estimate rise after packing?

A packed parcel may weigh more or take more space than the listed product. Some carriers price by the greater of actual and dimensional weight, and route-specific surcharges can also affect the final quote. Ask the chosen service for its measured parcel and charge breakdown.

Does free local delivery mean international shipping is free?

No. Seller-to-warehouse or other local delivery and the international parcel route are separate cost lines. Confirm both in the checkout and parcel quote.

Are import taxes included in the shipping price?

Only if the selected checkout or route expressly says which charges it collects or covers. Ask whether duty, VAT or other tax and carrier clearance fees remain payable after dispatch; do not add an already collected amount twice.

Is an iTaoBuy Spreadsheet order under $800 duty-free in the US?

Do not assume that. CBP says the former low-value duty-free treatment was suspended for most imports in August 2025. Check the current CBP rules and the exact shipment’s treatment before relying on a threshold.

Is an EU online parcel under €150 duty-free?

Not as a blanket rule. The European Commission says a temporary low-value customs duty began in July 2026. It is based on tariff-classified items and is normally paid by the declarant; check the current rules and how your checkout handles it.

Will UK VAT be collected at checkout or on delivery?

GOV.UK describes both possibilities, depending on the goods and shipment. Check the checkout breakdown and current UK guidance, then ask what the delivery company may still collect.
